Mavericks welcome two new bats

The Medicine Hat Mavericks added to their lineup Wednesday.

The WCBL club added infielder Ranciel Ventura and pitcher/outfielder Christian Rush from Lackawanna College. Mavericks head coach Tyler Jeskse is the hitting coach at Lackawanna.

Ventura and Rush are both right-handed bats which helps even out the Mavs’ left-handed heavy lineup.

Both players completed their freshman years at the Pennsylvania-based college this season and were in the Mavericks starting lineup Wednesday night in Swift Current against the 57’s. That game was not finished by press time, visit medicinehatnews.com/sports for a full game story.
