Monarchs stumble in weekend series

The Medicine Hat 18U Moose Monarchs were in Great Falls over the weekend and dropped both of their contests.

The Monarchs lost their first game Saturday against the Chargers 6-0. Trevin Ressler started the game on the mound and picked up three strikeouts in his five innings of work. Dylan Lefler took over for an inning and registered one strikeout. A double by Hayden Hall was the Monarchs lone hit in the loss.

In the Monarchs second contest against Great Falls, they put up five runs but fell 16-5.

Cade Harrison, Koby Elkestrand, Hall and Ryler Straarup combined for four and two thirds innings on the mound with two strikeouts. Aidan Eckersall led the Monarchs offensively with three hits and a RBI. 

The Monarchs are back in action this weekend with a double header in Lethbridge.
