Local archers win locally held provincial tournament

Five Medicine Hat archers took home the gold at the Outdoor 3D provincials held in the area.

The Medicine Hat Archery Club hosted the 2022 outdoor 3D Provincial Championships at Whispering Pines camp at Elkwater the weekend of June 11-12.

Monty and Ilse Vanderwesthuisen won the gold in men’s and women’s longbow; Bob Kawaza in senior traditional; Parisa Ryan in youth open; and Dan David in the masters 60 event.

About 100 shooters from across Alberta competed at the provincial tournament.
