YMCA River Run this weekend

The annual YMCA River Run is in action this weekend.

The 37th rendition of the run goes Saturday, kicking off at 8 a.m.

This years run is offered in in-person and virtual formats for: 3 km, 5 km, 10k m and 21.1 km routes. Funds raised in the charity run go to local YMCA Strong Kids Campaign as well as providing financial assistance to Hatters in need for access to YMCA programs such as summer camp, child care and memberships.

Parking and drop-off in front of, and to the side of the YMCA will be inaccessible during the run. The YMCA says parking or drop-off is available in the parking lot off Birch Avenue and people can use the crosswalk to access the YMCA.

Runners are able to register until midnight Thursday on the Medicine Hat YMCA’s website.
