The Medicine Hat Mavericks ended their weekend on a high note. The Mavericks hit the road for Swift Current on Sunday and picked up a 6-1 win over the 57’s. The win came after a 10-7 loss to the Moose Jaw Miller Express on Friday night at home, and the Mavericks were left wet and without a game Saturday as their rubber match against Moose Jaw was postponed until June 23. Keon Burkholder had the win on the mound for the Mavs, striking out three in five innings of work. Kellan Williamson led the Mavericks offensively with two hits and two RBIs in the win. The Mavericks are back in action Wednesday when they kick off a stretch of five straight games when they host the Edmonton Prospects. That game gets underway at 7:05 p.m. at Athletic Park. 4
