Multiple Hat high schoolers putting pen to paper with CJFL

By MEDICINE HAT NEWS on June 4, 2022.

Medicine Hat will be well represented in the Canadian Junior Football League next season.

The CJFL’s signing season opened Wednesday with teams across the country putting pen to paper with graduating athletes.

Five McCoy Colts have signed deals with different CJFL clubs. Logan Schlosser and Haedyn Davis both signed with the Victoria Island Raiders and Kai Kukurudza inked a deal with the Saskatoon Hilltops. They join Xavier Bueckert and Saige Robinson who signed with the Calgary Colts and Prince George Kodiaks.

Crescent Heights’ Ashton Mackin also signed a deal with the Colts from Calgary.

In early April, Vikings’ Colby Schneider and Hat High’s Carter Fisher both committed to the Regina Thunder and Will Donohue from the Hawks agreed to terms with Chilliwack.

Two other Hawks in April had choices to make with multiple teams in the CJFL in Logan Wells and Dylan Callan.
