The City of Medicine Hat will play host to the province’s top track and field athletes this weekend. The Alberta School’s Athletic Association is hosting the provincial track and field finals at the Medicine Hat rotary track Friday and Saturday. Friday gets started at 8:45 a.m. with the Junior, Intermediate and Senior men’s 100m Pent before the opening ceremonies take place at 10:55 a.m. The last event of the day start at 5:15 p.m. and is the Senior women’s 4×400 open timed final. Saturday’s events get underway at 8:45 a.m. with the Junior, Intermediate and Senior women’s 100m Pent. The provincials come to a close with the final event, the senior women’s 4x100m final at 4:10 p.m. Admission is cash only at $2 per day or $3 for both days, if purchased on Friday and children under 10 are free. Parking is available Friday and Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and is available Saturday at the Crescent Heights High School parking areas. 6
