Pancoast leads Twist and Flip with provincial silver

Nine-year-old Lauren Pancoast clinched an all-around silver medal at the Alberta Gymnastics Championships over the weekend to lead a strong showing from her Twist and Flip team of gymnasts.

Competing in Level 3-B, Pancoast finished second in the beam, fourth in the uneven bars, sixth in the floor event and seventh in the vault for an all-around score of 36.441 for silver – just over half a point shy of gold medal winner Wren McGale, of Edmonton.

Thirteeen-year-old Carly Luscombe finished tied for second in the Level 4-F vault and took 15th in the all-around.

Eleven-year-old Evan Stinson finished 17th in the Level 3-E all-around.
