Hawks Sr. baseball continues early season success

The Hat High Hawks senior baseball team added another tally to the win column Tuesday night.

The Hawks beat the Chinook Coyotes 10-5 Tuesday night in Lethbridge for their fourth win of the season.

Hat High opened the scoring in the first with four runs which was quickly matched in the bottom half of the inning with three Coyote runs. The Hawks then added five runs over three innings to secure the win.

Hat High had 15 hits Tuesday night with Declan Foshaug, Payton Eddy, Cade Harrison, Trevin Ressler and Jeff Bullock each collecting multiple. Harrison and Foshaug had two RBIs each. The Hawks tore up the base paths with nine stolen bases in the win, Foshaug led the way with three steals of his own.

Kevan Schafer picked up the win on the mound for Hat High, striking out two batters in one inning of work. The Hawks split the seven inning game up between seven pitchers who struck out a combined 12 batters.

The varsity Hawks(4-0) have a week off before their next action which comes Tuesday, when they hit the road to take on Magrath.
