Ringette to be on display at try-it event

By MEDICINE HAT NEWS on May 3, 2022.

The Medicine Hat Ringette Association is putting its sport on display for all interested.

The MHRA is hosting a free come-try-ringette event on Sunday from 1:15-2:15 p.m. at the Hockey Hounds Arena.

The come-try-ringette event is an opportunity for girls interested in ringette to learn more about the sport.

“This event is a great way to learn more about our sport”, said Elisha Ammann,

PR director with MHRA. “We’ll have volunteers on-hand to answer parents’ questions, information packages and lots of fun planned for the girls. That’s what ringette is all about, playing games and having fun on the ice.”

Any potential athletes only need skates and a helmet, as sticks and rings will be provided. Ringette coaches and players will be available on the ice to provide instruction on beginner ringette skills and some fun activities. The MHRA will also have donated equipment available for those who need it and on-site registration.
