JV Colts lose close battle in Brooks Thursday

The McCoy Colts JV baseball team dropped a close battle with the Brooks Buffalos, losing 6-4.

Pryce Velichko and Ryler Straarup shared the mound duties, throwing three innings each in a game which featured no errors for either team.

Velichko led the way offensively going 2-for-4 with a run batted in. Tate Bowal chipped in with a 1-for-3 night and two runs scored while Beck Boiteau had a double and two stolen bases.

The McCoy JV squad now has a record of 1-2 on the season.

Next action for the JV Colts is Monday when they face the Medicine Hat High School JV Hawks. First pitch is 5:30 p.m. at Jeffries Field.
