South East Athletic Club’s U16 AAA Tigers had their season snuffed out over the weekend following a two-game sweep at the hands of the Calgary Bulls in the second round of the Alberta Elite Hockey League playoffs.
SEAC fell just short of winning Game 1 on the road Thursday, falling victim to a late comeback in a 4-3 overtime loss before dropping a 1-0 battle in Game 2 Saturday in Medicine Hat.
Hayden Gebhart, Deegen Bert and Julian Laqua all scored in Game 1, while Kaige Schafer stopped 33 shots in net.
Schafer went on to stop 25 of the 26 shots he faced in Game 2.
SEAC finished the regular season ranked fifth in the AEHL South Division with an even 17-17-0 record.
