Schneider team wins Ladies Bonspiel

Donna Schneider and her team clinched the 72nd annual Ladies Bonspiel with a 5-3 win over Andrea Wilson’s squad in Sunday’s A event final.

After a blank first end, Schneider collected two in the second and never gave up the lead en route to the title.

Schneider’s team included Brenda Kobley, Cindy Arnott and Janet MacGregor.

Wilson made a late push, coming within two in the final end, but Schneider held on for the win.

Medicine Hat’s Stephanie Wenzel and Calgary’s Jessica Wytrychowski took third and fourth place, respectively, in the A event.

Cindy Shackleton defeated Dana Sapach to win the B event, with Amy Schneider and Suzette Parahoniak taking third and fourth, respectively.

Debbie Campbell, Joyce Koch and Traci Riess competed alongside Shackleton for the B event victory.

Sheila Rumberg’s team won the C event by defeating Deb Lutz in the final. Shackleton Exteriors and Tammy Foster took third and fourth place, respectively.
