Bulldogs compete at Alberta Indoor track and field championships

The Medicine Hat Bulldogs track and field club placed well at the Alberta Indoor Track and Field Championships on Mar 5-6.

Laine Gautier competed at the U16 level and medaled in all three of his events. He took gold and was the provincial champion with a personal best in the 600-metre, that time ranks him 11th on the all-time list in Alberta for the U16 boys category. He had two more PBs in the 300m and shot put while picking up bronze’s in both events.

Justina Renke competed with the U20s and finished fourth in shot put, a PB and fifth in weight throw.

Dustin Morris also participated at the U20 level finished in fifth and sixth place in the long jump and 300m race, respectively. He also finished 13th in the 60m.

Sean Freeman took home two silvers in the 400m and the high jump competitions while also picking up bronze in the 200m and shot put, all personal bests.

The Bulldogs have begun their spring registration with practice beginning within the next month.
