Cubs shutout in Game 2, down 2-0 in series

The Medicine Hat Cubs are returning home in search of a win.

The Cubs lost 8-0 Friday night in Okotoks to go down 2-0 to the Bisons in their South Finals playoff series.

Okotoks led 2-0 after the first period, 4-0 after the second and finished with the 8-0 final.

The Bisons outshot the Cubs 12-6 in the third period and led the shot category 38-24 over 60 minutes.

Okotoks hosted and took Game 1 Tuesday, 3-1.

The Cubs will look to get back into the series Saturday when they host Okotoks for Game 3. That game gets underway at 8:15 p.m. at the Kinplex.
