South Alberta Hockey Academy U18 male prep team finished off its February schedule this weekend. The team played four games over four days, all at the Edge School’s Kyle Stuart Memorial Arena. SAHA took on St. George’s U18 prep squad and fell 3-0 on Thursday. Zach Zahara was in net for SAHA, making 28 saves against St. George’s, before being called up the to the Medicine Hat Tigers on Friday. On Friday, SAHA faced Delta Hockey Academy’s U18 prep team and went to overime but fell 5-4 in sudden death. Josh Perreault and Brayden Sumner led SAHA offensively, as both had a goal and an assist each. Aiden Oiring and Dayden Collier rounded out the scoring with one goal each while Luke McCrady had two helpers in the loss. Brock Lott was between the pipes and made 20 saves in the overtime defeat. SAHA faced RINK Hockey Academy Saturday and fell behind early to lose 5-3. Shane Smith had two goals and Josh Perreault had a single marker to make up SAHA’s offence in the loss, while Lott made 25 saves. Elijah Anderson had two assists in the defeat. The men’s team finished the weekend with a 5-1 loss to the Burnaby Winter Club Academy. Kohen Morrison had the lone SAHA goal as Lott made 26 saves in his third straight start of the weekend. SAHA (19-11-1-0-1) has two more games before the Canadian Sport School Hockey League playoffs begin. They head to Saskatchewan this weekend for two games against the Notre Dame Hounds U18 team on Saturday and Sunday. The U18 female SAHA team (11-13-1-0-1-1) has one more game before playoffs. They host the Edge U18 team Friday night at the Big Marble Go Centre. That games gets underway at 6:30 p.m. 12
