Saturday night’s Medicine Hat Tigers game will be a homecoming of sorts for Logan Barlage.

When the Tigers are in Lethbridge Saturday to take on the Hurricanes, it’ll be the first time Barlage has played in the Enmax Centre since being traded to Medicine Hat.

The 20-year-old forward said it will feel weird being back in the building, but is hoping the Tigers can beat his former club.

“I think I obviously want to beat them if we can, being back in that rink it will be a weird feeling at the start,” Barlage said. “I think we could have beat them last time and I think this time we are going to go in with a good mentality and hopefully get the win.”

In 12 games since the Jan. 17 trade, Barlage has put up five goals and two assists. The Humboldt, Sask. product played 217 games in a Hurricanes jersey, scoring 56 goals 91 assists for 147 points.

The offence for Barlage and the Tigers has dried up the last couple weeks, as they’ve managed just five goals in five games. Barlage said the message around the team has been to get pucks on net.

“I think we have to improve a little bit, we are working on some stuff today that’s going to help our game,” Barlage said. “Just in the offensive zone I think we can get a little more shots, and I think myself, I can shoot the puck more and try to create more offence that way. I think as a team we are going to click pretty soon, and if we can click next game that would be huge.”
