SAHA shuts out IHA

South Alberta Hockey Academy’s U18 male prep squad improved to 16-4-0-3 on the Canadian Sport School Hockey League season with a 6-0 win over International Hockey Academy on Friday.

Aiden Oiring and Shane Smith both finished the night with a goal and three assists, while Ephram McNutt had a goal with two helpers and Elijah Anderson had two goals and an assist.

Matthew McPherson rounded out the scoring in the victory, while Zack Zahara stopped all 29 shots sent his way to secure the shutout.

SAHA will open a three-game set against RINK Winnipeg (17-6-1) on Friday evening at the Big Marble Go Centre. Puck drop for that game is set for 7:30 p.m.

The three-game set will conclude with a 3:30 p.m. game on Saturday and a 10:15 a.m. battle on Sunday.
