By MEDICINE HAT NEWS on January 13, 2022.

Two Medicine Hat Tigers have impressed NHL scouts ahead of the 2022 draft in July.

Tigers defenceman Pasha Bocharov and Bogdans Hodass were listed on the National Hockey League’s Central Scouting’s midterm ranking of the top North American skaters eligible for the draft, which was released Wednesday morning.

Bocharov, who was acquired by the Tigers in a three-way trade with the Saskatoon Blades, was ranked 157th among North American skaters. The 5-foot-11 blueliner has one goal and seven points in 33 games with the Blades and Tigers this season.

Hodass was ranked 173rd among North American skaters in his first WHL season after being selected by the Tigers in the CHL import draft last summer. The Latvian defenceman has three goals and 16 points in 22 games in orange and black this season. He recently represented Latvia with three points in five games at the Division I world junior tournament in Denmark.

The 2022 NHL draft is scheduled to be held at Bell Centre in Montreal, with the first round on July 7 and Rounds 2-7 on July 8.
