Mavens split weekend series

The U19 B Mavens were in Bowview last Sunday and split their final contests of the calendar year.

The Mavens beat the Edge in the first game by a score of 6-3 on the back of Leah Jetter’s hat trick. Nolan Reid, Claire MacFarlane and Leah Mason picked up the Mavens other three goals as they battled penalty troubles in the win.

They came up short and dropped the second game to the Edge 6-3. Goal scorers were Serina Grona, Raynah Gibney and Leah Jetter.

The Mavens are off for the holidays before getting back on the ice for the Ed Benning Tournament in Regina, Jan. 7-9.
