The Central Division leading Edmonton Oil Kings got a whole lot better Wednesday afternoon. Edmonton acquired Montreal Canadiens prospect Kaiden Guhle from the Prince Albert Raiders for a six peice package. The Raiders recieved two skaters in Ottawa Senators forward prospect Carson Latimer, defenceman Eric Johnston and three draft picks in the 13th overall pick in the 2021 draft, a 2023 first rounder, conditional third round pick in 2025 and a sixth round pick in 2022. The Oil Kings sit in second place of the Eastern conference with an 16-4-2-1 record as they chase the Winnipeg Ice for first. Meanwhile Prince Alberta has had a slow start to their year with a 8-12-0-1 record that has them in 10th place of the eastern conference. Guhle has two goals and 15 points in 17 games with the Raiders this season and the 19-year-old was named Wednesday to Hockey Canada’s National Junior Team Selection Camp ahead of the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship. A WHL Champion with the Raiders in 2019, Guhle was selected 16th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2020 NHL Draft. In 156 career WHL contests, all with Prince Albert, the product of Sherwood Park, Alta. has totalled 75 points. He was originally selected by the Raiders with the first overall pick in the 2017 WHL Draft. 6
