Rattlers struggle on opening weekend

The Medicine Hat Rattlers women’s basketball team was swept by the Lethbridge Kodiaks to open the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference season this weekend, falling 54-52 Friday then 76-65 Saturday.

The men’s squad was also swept following a 77-64 loss to Lethbridge on Saturday.

The Rattlers kick off a home-and-home with Red Deer on Friday.

Volleyball

The Rattlers women’s volleyball team dropped a pair to the Lethbridge Kodiaks to open the season this weekend, falling in four sets Friday (25-16, 20-25, 25-17 25-17) and straight sets Sunday (26-24, 25-21, 25-16).

MHC’s men’s volleyball team was also swept by the Kodiaks, falling in straights sets Saturday (26-24, 25-16, 25-19) for the second night in a row.
