Tigers trade Aidan Brook to Prince George Cougars

By Medicine Hat News on November 13, 2021.

The Medicine Hat Tigers announced Friday they’ve traded defenceman Aidan Brook to the Prince George Cougars. Coming back the other way was a sixth-round pick in the 2021 WHL Prospect Draft. Head coach and general Manager Willie Desjardins said the move came from the Tigers abundance of defensemen.

“We have quite a few D here, we were kind of waiting to see if Ivanov would show up or not…” Desjardins said. “Aidan was good for us, good character guy, worked hard, great in the dressing room.”

Desjardins said Brook asked for more playing time and the Tigers thought it was best for him to move somewhere he would play more. Brook was originally drafted by the Seattle Thunderbirds 76th overall by the Seattle Thunderbirds in 2018, before being acquired by the Tigers in January of 2019. He appeared in 24 games for the Tabbies, registering two assists. Tigers forward Corson Hopwo said Brook was a great guy in the room and it’s sad to see him leave.

“He was a really close friend of everyone,” Hopwo said.
