Two Rattlers’ soccer players have been honoured by the ACAC this week. Medicine Hat goaltender Ross Wilder was named the 2021-22 ACAC men’s soccer South rookie of the year.

Wilder helped lead MHC to a fourth-place finish in the South Division, which helped the Rattlers make the playoffs and host an opening-round game. The Hat product had a clean sheet in a 3-0 victory over the Olds College Broncos.

Ross finished the season third in saves with 43 in six games, a .782 save percentage.

Ross was also named to the ACAC South all-conference team.

Maisa Rebello, from the Rattlers’ women’s soccer team, was named to ACAC’s South women’s soccer all-conference teams. Rebello led the Rattlers and was third in the ACAC for goals with 11 in just six games.
