The Medicine Hat Cubs rallied to back-to-back wins on the road this weekend, taking down the High River Flyers 11-3 on Friday before defeating the Lomond Lakers 8-3 on Saturday. Brandon Kasdorf led Friday’s victory with four goals and an assist, while Cooper Hilworth followed up with a hat trick of his own and a helper for good measure. Jacob Milne, Zane Douglas, Conner Douglas and Colby Friedrich all had individual goals, with Conner and Friedrich adding two assists each. Lane Gilroy collected the win with a nine-save performance. Medicine Hat outshot High River 62-12 in the win. Hilworth led Sunday’s game with a pair of goals, while Ethan Machan had a goal and four assists. Conner Douglas, Darnell Glasgo, Jamal Shaw and Brandon Kasdorf scored individual tallies to round out the scoring. Girlroy stopped 16 shots for the win. The Cubs (6-3-1) will be in Airdrie Friday to take on the Thunder (4-6-0) before returning home Saturday for a 3:15 p.m. battle against the Strathmore Wheatland Kings (5-5-0). 8
