Monarchs sweep weekend to close out fall baseball season

The Medicine Hat Moose Monarchs closed the book on their fall baseball season this weekend with a trio of victories over the Redbirds in Calgary, 12-2, 11-2 and 7-2.

The season-ending streak pushed the Monarchs well past the .500 mark with an 11-8 record thanks to some strong performances on the bump.

Trevin Ressler earned the win in the first game, going six innings and striking out 11 without giving up an earned run.

Jeff Bullock took the ball in the second game, going 5 2/3 innings and fanning 13 batters while allowing two hits and no earned runs.

Payton Eddy capped things off in the final game by striking out 14 over five innings and allowing two hits, no walks and no runs.

Ressler, Graceon Little and Waylon Watson had two hits in the opening game, with Ressler batting in three runs.

Little added a triple and 3 RBI in the second game, with Bullock and Ressler adding two hits each.

Ressler stayed hot in the final game, connecting for three hits, while Bullock and Little each added two.
