There will be another step in the process for fans attending Tigers games this season.

Medicine Hat, alongside the Lethbridge Hurricanes and Red Deer Rebels, announced Thursday that they would all be implementing the Alberta government’s COVID-19 restriction exemption program.

This new program, effective Sept. 20, means all spectators at Co-op Place aged 12 and over will be required to show proof of either a full COVID-19 vaccination, proof of a single dose administered a minimum of 14 days prior to the event (this option is only valid until Oct. 25) or a negative COVID-19 PCR or rapid test, from a paid private testing provider, taken within 72 hours of the event’s start time. Masks for all fans are required, as per AHS policy.

The Tigers say specific policies may differ by team, and either electronic or paper immunization records will be accepted.

This policy does not apply for Saturday’s exhibition game against Lethbridge at Co-op Place. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
