McGough camp postponed

Connor McGough’s charity camp for defensive linemen has been postponed due to the recent spike in COVID-19 cases.

The Calgary Stampeders defensive end and Crescent Heights alumnus made the decision Tuesday afternoon, but indicated it will still be held down the road.

“With the rise in cases in Medicine Hat and each high school possessing a case, it is in the athletes’ best interest, the camp and all who are involved to postpone the camp to a later date,” McGough said in a message to the News.

The camp planned on raising funds for the Medicine Hat and District Food Bank, and the Stampeders Foundation stepped up to match all money raised up to $5,000.
