Les Neigum, Dennis Schlemko, Dale Edwards and Connor Skolarchuk all closed out their shortened summer racing season with a two-day sweep at the Medicine Hat Speedway this weekend.

Neigum worked his way to the top of the Davis GMC Elite Street stock in his No. 4 car ahead of Ross Statham and Thomas Payne Saturday. Neigum then climbed back behind the wheel Sunday and repeated the feat, this time besting Alf Hieb and Statham to take first.

Schlemko came out on top in a tightly-matched Busy Bee Rumblebee battle with Kevin Hieb, finishing just ahead of the runner up on both Saturday and Sunday. Brittney Young finished third in Saturday’s races, while Levi Sergeant took third Sunday.

Edwards held top spot in the Relay/SJ Trucking Baby Grands on both race days, finishing ahead of Rick Jondreau and Dennis Massie in that order on both Saturday and Sunday.

Skolarchuk closed out his summer with two first-place finishes in the Mini Cup Car class, besting Aydin Banman and Sebastian Beaupre Saturday, then taking top spot ahead of Ethan Skolarchuk and Banman Sunday.

In the Just Smok’n Hobby Stocks, Jason Koska took first on Saturday ahead of Trevor Stratton and Shane Messmer, then settled for runner-up to Jareme Koska Sunday, with Stratton taking third.

Jason Woicichowski earned top spot in Saturday’s Rocky Mountain Equipment Renegade Truck class, followed by Steve Kundert and Tony Lavigne. Wayne Seaward finished first in Sunday’s event ahead of Curtis Bigelow and Woicichowski.
