Medicine Hat Tennis Club’s Open Doubles tennis tournament results

The Medicine Hat Tennis Club’s annual Open Doubles tournament came to a close this weekend, with some familiar names competing.

Boris Holan and Trevor Riddell took down Calvin Heller and Jin Shin 75. 6-2 in the Men’s Open championship match.

Imran Ahmed and Shah Ahmad defeated Joe Ciona and Miles Pfeifer in the consolation match.

Lorne Pretzlaw and Noel Thomas beat Lyle Garrecht and Randy Deminick in the Intermediate Men’s Division.

Women’s Open

Tracy Heller and Linda Norris defeated Dannan McElroy-O’Driscoll and Wai-Cheng Pretzlaw 6-3, 0-6, 7-6 in the women’s championship match.

Dawn Olson and CoraLee Riehl took down Margaret Klok and Reina Schibler in the consolation match.

The next Medicine Hat Tennis Club event is the Open Mixed Doubles Tournament, which is scheduled for Sept. 8-12.
