Hat Lawn Bowling Club pushes into playoffs

Gibson Trophy as the Medicine Hat Lawn Bowling Club's pairs round robin champions.--SUBMITTED PHOTOWes and Jean Bresee clinched the Medicine Hat Lawn Bowling Club’s J. Gibson Trophy last week as champions of the pairs round robin league, but there are still playoffs ahead.
Three of the four teams involved tied for top spot with a 2-1 record, but the Bresee duo broke the tiebreaker with the strongest point differential.
Pairs playoffs kicked off Thursday evening. The Bresees defeated Frank Buck and Joyce-Ann Bacon 15-3 to advance to the final against Curt and Bob Moll – who beat Joan Theriault and Ann Boutkan 13-7 to earn their place.
Both the A and B finals are slated for Thursday at the Medicine Hat Lawn Bowling Club.
