Werre finishes T11 at Alberta Men’s Mid-Amateur

Redcliff’s Ryan Werre finished tied for 11th in the Alberta Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship at Sundre’s Coyote Creek Golf and RV Resort this week.

Werre closed out the three-round tournament with a three-over 74 Thursday to finish with a two-over 215. The Desert Blume golfer started out the event with a 69 in the first round and followed it up with a 72 in the second.

Canmore’s Alex Large won the event with a 71-67-65-203, four strokes clear of runner up Zander Ritson, of Inglewood Golf and Curling Club.

Desert Blume Golf Club’s Lanny Seefried finished in a tie for 29th after shooting a 70-75-76-221, while fellow Desert Blume golfers Tony Pasich and Jordon Forsythe missed the cut for the final round.
