Tigers sign 17-year-old goalie

By Medicine Hat News on April 30, 2020.

The Medicine Hat Tigers signed 2003-born goaltender Beckett Langkow to a standard Western Hockey League player agreement Wednesday.

The 5-foot-9, 134-pound prospect is coming off a strong season with the Alberta Midget Hockey League’s Fort Saskatchewan Rangers – posting a 1.93 goals against average with a .934 save percentage and a 12-4-4 record.

“We are excited to announce that Beckett has signed to join our team. He had a great season this past year. All he does is stop pucks and win,” Tigers head coach and general manager Willie Desjardins said in a team release. “We are excited to have Beckett be a part of our future.”
