They drew to the button, delivered devastating takeouts and also had a lot of fun at the Medicine Hat Curling Club’s annual junior bonspiel Saturday.

More than 60 curlers took part according to club manager Vicki Sjolie, with half of them in the 11-and-under division and the rest in the school-age group.

Only one of the eight school teams went a perfect 3-0, that being the Charley Foster side including Evan Gunn, Faith Scrivner and Kiara Jacobs.

The team of Addisyn Helmle, Ava Wieschorster, Isabelle Ferdais and Abey Sadler came in second in Foster’s four-team pool.

In the other pool, a draw to the button was needed after three teams tied with 2-1 records. Addie Clark’s team (with Ben Lundy, Jenessa Wieschorster and Rhys Allen) won the tiebreaker with Ryker Miller (with Colby Sherwick, Caysh Corsie and Cyton Corsie) second. Fox Valley’s Brooklyn Schell (with Kierra Herter, Kesler Hellman and Lucy Moch) wound up third.

Cyton Corsie won a separate draw to the button competition, putting his stone less than a foot from the button.

In the younger division it was Kallie Fen (with Corbin Desroches, Ryan Wright and Lucas Grove) in first place. The self-named Hack Attack team (Keaton Bower with Alexa Grove, Keaton Elderkin and Damien Davies) were second, while Jacob Ferdais (with Lyndon Sherwick, Jacob Decelle and Daniel Decelle) took third.
