The Medicine Hat Tigers signed another of their 2019 draft picks to a player agreement Monday. Winnipeg’s Ben Bonni, picked in the sixth round by the Tigers last year, has committed to the team. “He is a good, young defenceman with a great pedigree and we expect him to fit in well with the Tigers,” said general manager and head coach Willie Desjardins in a press release. Bonni’s midget AAA Thrashers team is 26-8 in their Manitoba league, and he’s got six goals and seven assists in 28 games. The Tigers’ next action is in Saskatoon Friday and Prince Albert Saturday. Their next home game is next Tuesday against Swift Current. 6
