Angenay Williams’ dominance of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference continued Friday, this time at the expense of the Medicine Hat College Rattlers.

The Chicago-born basketball player scored from everywhere in the 85-68 win, pouring in 41 points and seven assists. Seventeen of those points came in the fourth quarter, including three key three-pointers that helped turn a seven-point lead into 17.

Williams entered the night averaging a conference-best 31.3 points per game. She was aided by 15 points and 16 rebounds from Amber Tilcox.

Medicine Hat’s Katelyn Rozdeba led her team with 23 points and 12 rebounds, while Morgan Muir’s 14 points and nine steals were offset by a rough shooting night. The Rattlers went a combined 3-for-22 from three-point territory in falling to 5-6.

Briercrest, now 7-3, rematches Saturday at the Snake Pit at 1 p.m. Two of the Clippers’ losses have come via forfeit due to an ineligible player, which led to the team firing its head coach midway through the season.

Men’s basketball

The Medicine Hat College’s men’s basketball team lost 103-83 to Briercrest.

The Clippers improved to 5-5, moving into a tie for a playoff spot. Brandon Tolentino led with 25 points.

Now 8-7, Medicine Hat hosts SAIT at 6 p.m. Saturday.

Men’s volleyball

The conference-leading Trojans made quick work of the Rattlers men’s volleyball team Friday at SAIT, racing to a 3-0 (25-23, 25-20, 25-18) win.
