Monsignor McCoy’s boys basketball teams had a great night on home court, handing St. Joseph Collegiate a pair of losses in local league action.
The junior varsity Colts opened with a 69-58 victory, then the varsity team handed the Crusaders their first league loss, 90-67.
Bubu Benjamin’s 27 points included multiple dunks, while Kameron Roberts was money from beyond the three-point stripe to the tune of 18 points.
St. Joseph’s had won its first three varsity league games but had little answer for the hot-shooting Colts, who led by 20 early and were able to get plenty of minutes for everybody on the roster.
