Notre Dame BullDawgs take B division title

Notre Dame’s BullDawgs won a city volleyball title Monday night, and they did it with a surprisingly young roster.

Coach Jason McLester said his B-division boys team featured nine Grade 7’s and three Grade 8’s, only two of which were available for the city final against Crescent Heights.

“It was a pretty cool performance,” McLester said of his team, which won the final in the St. Mary’s gym 2-1 (25-5, 21-25, 15-6).

As the top seed the Dawgs were no fluke in finishing first, and with so many Grade 7’s eligible to return next year or move up to the A team their future is looking bright.
