Tigers to sport themed pink jerseys

By Medicine Hat News on October 4, 2019.

There’s going to be plenty of pink in the rink on Oct. 12.

The Medicine Hat Tigers announced Thursday that the team will be sporting special pink-themed jerseys for their annual Pink in the Rink game next Saturday against the Red Deer Rebels.

The black and pink jerseys are the first in team history to alter the iconic Tiger head logo – replacing the orange colouring with pink. All game-worn jerseys will be autographed and sold in a silent auction throughout the game with all proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society.

The Tigers have previously worn pink laces and stick tape for the annual game, which encourages fans to come wearing as much pink as possible.

Medicine Hat (3-2-0-0) will look to secure their third victory in four games when they enter the Brandt Centre tonight to take on the Regina Pats (1-3-0-0) at 7 p.m.

Tabby captain James Hamblin leads the team with five points through the first five games of the regular season, while Bryan Lockner and rookies Jonathan Brinkman and Cole Sillinger each follow up with four.

Lockner leads the team in goals with four.

Over in Regina, Austin Pratt leads the Pats offence with six points in four games – twice as many as any of his teammates.

The Tigers return to the Canalta Centre to host the Rebels on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
