A loss to the top-ranked team in the province didn’t hurt Hat High’s Mohawks much in Football Alberta’s weekly rankings. After falling 21-4 to the Holy Trinity Academy Knights in Okotoks Friday, Hat High fell one spot in the Tier 2 rankings to seventh. They’re just 1-2 on the season but have a key matchup with cross-town rival Crescent Heights Friday night, 7 p.m. at the Methanex Bowl. Holy Trinity held firm at No. 1, now 3-0. As for the Vikings, they remained at seventh in Tier 3’s rankings after beating Taber’s W.R. Myers 21-13. McCoy heads to Brooks Friday night for an intriguing matchup, as the Buffaloes started the season ranked but fell out of the top 10 quickly after a loss to Crescent Heights. Cochrane, 3-0, is No. 1 among Tier 3 schools. 7
