Lawn bowlers get out for tourney

Fantastic weather allowed the Medicine Hat Lawn Bowling Club to hold a year-end triples tournament Sunday, though it’s entirely possible they’ll be on the greens for another month.

Skip Jeff Desjarlais and teammates Wes and Jean Bresee won the day-long event, one of four teams to post a 2-1 record. Six teams were entered in all.

After calculating points, they wound up the victors. Linda Bowers’ team with Jim and Mary Clegg were second, then Pat Dennis’ side including Allen Hunt and Ron Gebhardt were third.
