Mohawks fall to Knights, Vikings top Rebels

The Hat High Mohawks were dealt another exhibition loss in a 21-4 setback to the Holy Trinity Academy Knights on Friday night in Okotoks.

The Knights, ranked first among Tier 2 teams in the province, took over a 7-3 lead through the first quarter before stretching the gap to 21-3 with a pair of quick touchdowns in the second.

Aidan Callan was responsible for all four Mohawk points, kicking a 35-yard field goal in the first and a rouge later.

Meanwhile in Taber, Crescent Heights’ Vikings improved to 2-1 with a 21-13 win over the WR Myers Rebels. Tony Simmons scored all three touchdowns for the Vikes, two on the ground and one on a reception in the fourth quarter from quarterback Kobe Willis.

McCoy hosts Pincher Creek Saturday, 2:30 p.m. at the Methanex Bowl.
