Plenty of action at strip, Speedway this weekend

Gearheads are in for a weekend of thrills at both the Medicine Hat Drag Racing Association strip and the Speedway this weekend. The Medicine Hat Speedway will welcome Drift Amigos to the oval track Saturday – joining the evening’s rumblebee, busybee, elite street and hobby stock racing – for a special spectacle of rubber-burning action. Gates at the Speedway open Saturday at 5 p.m., followed by green flag racing at 6:30 p.m. Next door at the strip, the MHDRA will hold its annual Funny Cars weekend. Gates open Saturday at 8 a.m., followed by racing at 4 p.m. The gates open back up at 8 a.m. Sunday, though racing is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. 5-4
