Pickleball duo gold at tourney in Spruce Grove

A pair of Medicine Hat pickleball players dominated their mixed doubles event in Spruce Grove this past weekend.

Carolynn Snyder and Keith Edwards took top spot at the Summer Smash tournament, going 4-0 in the 60-plus division for Level 3.5 players.

The Hat pair beat the husband-wife team of Julie and Brian Sribney twice, including an 11-7, 11-1 victory in the final. They needed three sets to beat them to get to the final, 12-10, 8-11 and 11-7.
