Hodgins finishes 41st at Canadian junior golf championships

Medicine Hat’s Ryan Hodgins climbed 19 spots to finish the Canadian junior golf championships tied for 41st place after shooting a two-under 70 in Thursday’s final round at Covered Bridge Golf and Country Club in New Brunswick.

The fourth-round 70 – Hodgins’ best of the week after opening the tournament with a 72 Monday and following it up with another 72 Tuesday and a 75 Wednesday – left Hodgins with a final score of 289.

Christopher Vandette, of Beaconsfield, Que., held on to clinch his second consecutive Canadian junior title with a 62-69-72-71-274.
