Mavericks fall to Prospects in Edmonton Tuesday night

The Medicine Hat Mavericks dropped a 9-5 decision in Edmonton Tuesday after a couple days off.

No official statistics were available from the game, which saw the Prospects get out of some key jams and take advantage of their chances.

Starter Evan Sutta took the loss for the Mavs, giving up four runs on four hits in 4 2/3 innings according to the Prospects broadcast. Edmonton reliever Matt Erikson got out of a bases-loaded jam en route to the win, striking out three in 1 2/3 innings.

Medicine Hat is now 22-21, a game ahead of 21-22 Edmonton to sit third in the Western Canadian Baseball League’s Western Division.

The teams rematch again tonight.
