Medicine Hat’s Sam Bratvold had a great time in Calgary this week. The 17-year-old finished second in his division at the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour’s event at McKenzie Meadows Golf Club, shooting rounds of 78, 79 and 75 on the 6,605-yard par-72 course. Only Calgary’s Patrick Miller, buoyed by an opening-round 66, could do better in the 17- and 18-year-old group. Bratvold was the lone Hatter at the tour stop, which wrapped up Wednesday. He also won a closest to the pin skills contest. 5
