Junior B Sun Devils to host playoff series after dropping last two in regular season

The Medicine Hat Sun Devils didn’t finish their Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League regular season on the note they’d have liked, but they’re still going to host a first-round playoff series this weekend.

The Devils dropped road games in Strathmore and High River to wind up 8-6, second in the junior B Tier 2 South Central Division. They’ll host the Calgary Axemen Saturday and Sunday in a best-of-three series.

On Saturday in Strathmore the Devils dropped a 13-9 decision to the Venom. On Sunday in High River the Heat were 12-8 winners. Strathmore finished 5-9 and will match up with the 12-2 High River team in the other division semifinals.
