Hat High cruises to win over Eagle Butte in high school baseball, second in Tier 1 division

Hat High’s Tier 1 baseball team beat the Eagle Butte Talons 10-0 Thursday, clinching a second-place seed entering their league’s championship tournament.

Tory Nelson threw five innings in the win against the Tier 2 Talons, who will be seeded third in their division’s finals.

No other details were available. Hat High is 6-3 overall this season, while Eagle Butte is 1-7.

Vauxhall has the best Tier 1 record at 8-1. McCoy is third at 6-3 with Notre Dame and Brooks in the bottom two spots.

Crescent Heights is 8-0 to lead Tier 2, followed by Maple Creek, Eagle Butte and Hat High’s junior team.
