Salta Gymnastics Club members put the magic in the Mountain Magic Invitational in Okotoks this past weekend.

With two rare perfect scores and nine all-around champions, it was certainly a memorable event.

Aubri Krassman had one of the perfect 10’s, on balance beam which her coach said was unheard of in the province.

“Aubri shed tears of joy when she saw the score,” reported Rebecca Schmal via email.

Krassman went on to win gold in every event she entered in the 16-athlete Level 4 division for 10- and 11-year-olds.

Brynnley Gertner was the other Salta gymnast to achieve perfection, getting her 10 on vault in the Level 2 division for 7- and 8-year-olds.

Gertner also won her all-around title, gold in all but one event.

With more than 700 athletes in attendance at the four-day competition, there were a lot of medals handed out. Salta was no exception. All-around champions included Sonya Reid (Level 3), Daniele Hollingworth (Level 4), Emma Flug (Level 4), Kipp Stevens (Level 4), Ria Thacker (Level 6), Olivia Chenard (Level 7) and Susan Donudenu (Level 2).

Second in all-around were Bree Hurlburt (Level 3), Rachel Little (Level 4), Gemma Snazel (Level 4), Kristen Friesen (Level 7) and Alexis Hayward (Level 2).

All-around bronze medallists included Jordis Barabe (Level 3), Devyn Crane (Level 3) and Emma Weninger (Level 2).
